Saddly that is no longer true. While I would HIGHLY reccomend this game for the Campaign Mode, the Online Mode is another matter ENTIRELY!!!! Once you reach level 5, you must win a number of sucsessfull wins to advance onwords, but each loss counts you backwords on that total. THIS, is not a problem. THE PROBLEM, is that many players have found a way to "HACK" either the timeclock, or the game itself! I have found myself ready to acquire a good card, only to have my game freeze. Then reload. Not only do I lose precious time during this reloaded "Glitch". But often it will undo my card purchases or even worse, my bases will be destroyed or my health slashed in half. All of which being impossible with the card's the opponet had availible to play. Now, I KNOW I'm not the best player. I admit that freely. But after almost 500 games, I STILL CAN'T GET EVEN HALFWAY THROUGH TO LEVEL 7! This means With the losses counting against me, I have only managed to go up 1 LEVEL in almost 500 games!!!I have sent several emails to the developer company, yet have seen no correction of this problem. While I LOVE the actual game, the strategy is AMAZING, as are the card's ARTWORK. This feature caused me to stop playing this game for almost 2 years! During this time, the "Glitches" aperantly got worse, not better. I started playing again yesterday. And during this last match, I couldn't even buy single cards without struggling through "MULTIPLE" turns do to "Glitches". I don't know if this is a active bug in the game, or a hackable back door. But it WILL FRUSTRATE YOU, to know end. Unless you're willing to NEVER, play against others onlne. (The very point of most steam games). I would have to say this game is curently not worth it's price. I am sorry. But this is just true.. Sorry to say it but the new update with arana options makes te game worse... now you can unlock cards, avatars by spending cash... Realy loved the game only this option will make me stick with the offline cardgame. And reget paying money for the online game.The biggest bonus was it is a multiplatform game and you can play it also on mobile.. Love this app and the new content. I did notice a bug where you can't click on your deck after a reshuffle.. I was originally researching the card game to see if it would be something good for a casual board gaming group I'm in, and then discovered the computer and mobile version. It's certainly casual, and not very serious (some skill, but lots of luck also). I tend to prefer games that emphasize skill more, but this is just fine for me. I have to confess that while the game is certainly quite easy to understand once you've played a bit, I don't think that I'm particularly good at it. I haven't yet played online, so I can't comment on how well that works. But solo play against the AI works quite well. There's also a campaign mode, to play a series of scenarios (with pre-loaded decks). I'm currently stuck on the third game, which seems impossible to beat (did I say that I don't think I'm particularly good at the game?). I don't understand these negative reviews on the U.I. ??????? I've just played my first game online. I have no problem with it. This is a really fun game. I play a lot of digital strategic card games because I like the game genre. This game is very well concieved and very easy to learn thanks to the nice tutorial and the pass & play mode. The free to play version is basically just a demo. To get the full experience of what this game has to offer you should get the full version along with the download content. On steam I think it comes to under 25.00 US dollars. which I think is reasonable if you enjoy the game. The extra contents adds a lot of new strategic & random elements to the game that really improve it. What really makes this digital version exceptional is the pass and play mode. Its meant to be used for two players on one machine, but I used it to play against myself inorder to practice and learn the flow & play of the game, and the ability of the different factions and cards. It was strangely quite a lot of fun, making learning the game very enjoyable not frustrating and tedious. I wish all digital strategic card games had this feature. By the time I got around to playing against the A.I. play was smooth and easy. When I played my first online game it was a ranked time match, and I had no problems choosing what and when to play even with the time constrant or the so called bad U.I. ?????? and won very easily +64 to -11 This was due to play practice in the pass & play mode!!!!!. I have already played this a lot on my tablet. This is almost exactly the same version. Which shows. Some of the UI elements are huge. When you select a card to buy, you need to drag it to your deck (which is ok on a touch device, but a bit akward with mouse). But is's minor things. This is a good implementation of a nice little deck building game. I have only played the free version against AI. There is one free campaign, which can be challenging. There are some inside achievements, but it would be nice to have Steam achievements as well.. This is a great card game. It's a great piece of software. It used to have hard AI free, but that was taken away with the most recent update. That's their right, but feels like a bad move. I wanted multiplayer and this takes all the slowness out of the card game. I bought it and got a friend to buy it. Unfortunately, multiplayer only errored out for both of us. Support answered after a week and then suggested I try basic things like shutting down firewalls. So, I returned my copy and played free once and a while on the hard AI. Now that the hard AI has been removed, will I pay to get the hard AI back or will I step down and play the medium level for free? Probably neither. I'll probably just stop playing. I don't fault them. It's their right to charge for content. It's a great card game, and a nice piece of software, there's no point if I can't play against a worthy opponent either in AI or online. This is too bad.. I love this game. I love the app version and I love the actual card deck building game. I have all the expansion packs.
